Elisa Veiga is an Assistant Professor at Faculdade de Educação e Psicologia at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, teaching at the graduate and postgraduate level.
She completed her Masters in Child Developmental Psychology and Education in 1995. She completed her PhD in Psychology in the University of Porto in 2006 with a scholarship from PRODEP.
Her research domain is in developmental trajectories and context (family, foster care, health, education) addressing family transitions (parenting, post-divorce, loss and bereavement process), in situations of vulnerability (social risk, prematurity, neurodevelopment disorders, mental health problems, serious and terminal illness, migration).
She also develops clinical activity as a psychologist and family therapist in the context of intervention with families, children and youth at risk and with development disturbances.
