Daniela Gonçalves

Profile

Daniela Gonçalves graduated with a degree in Philosophy (1999) and a Masters in Modern and Contemporary Philosophy from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (2002). She holds a post-graduate degree in Pedagogical Supervision and Teacher Training (2007) from Paula Frassinetti School of Education and a post-graduate degree in Neuroeducation (2016) from the Portuguese Institute of Psychology.

Between 2006 and 2010, she obtained a Diploma in Advanced Studies in Educational Analysis and Intervention and a PhD in Theory and History of Education at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Vigo (2010).

Assistant Professor at Paula Frassinetti School of Education since 2004, she is the coordinator of the Teacher Training Department, director of the Master's Program in Pre-School Education and Teaching in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and President of the Pedagogical Council.

She collaborates with several schools in the Greater Porto region and with the team of Mais Sucesso Escolar, namely the Fénix project (supported by the Ministry of Education) and has worked as an External Expert in Cerco’s school grouping. She collaborates with the General Inspection of Education and Teaching (IGEC) in activities of external evaluation of schools.

She is also a Pedagogical Coordinator of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education at Nova Maia College.

She is an integrated researcher at the Research Centre for Human Development of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) and her scientific production focuses on Teacher Training, Pedagogical Supervision, Education Theory and Educational Technology.
