Mónica Oliveira is a post doctorate in Didactics of Artistic Expressions by FBAUP. She holds a PhD in Plastic Arts, FBAUS, 2000. She is a coordinating Professor at the Higher School of Education of Paula Frassinetti, since 1996, and an invited teacher at the Higher School of Education of Coimbra. She is an integrated researcher at the CEDH of the Catholic University. Collaborating researcher of Institute of Research in Art, Design and Society - Artistic Education Center of Fine Arts Faculty - University of Porto. As a plastic artist, she participated in several exhibitions in Portugal and abroad. She won two national awards in 2012 and one international honorable mention in sculpture in 2019. She participated as a member on the Experts Council in the Scientific Area of Teacher Training - Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education, from 2004 to 2006. She participated as a member on the Committee of Experts for the External Evaluation of Courses of Polytechnic Higher Education in the Evaluation Council from 2002 to 2004. She was a member of the INAFOP Commission from 2000 to 2002.
