1st and 2nd National Webinars of PRO.VI project - Protecting Victims Rights


On April 24th, 2020, the first National Webinar of Pro.Vi project was organized. This webinar was dedicated to “The Protection of Victims of Crime in Portugal: a global approach”, and we welcomed the main speaker Dr. Manuel Albano (CIG North region director and National Rapporteur for Human Trafficking).

The second National Webinar of the project was conducted on May 22nd, 2020 and was dedicated to “Trafficking of Human Beings and the Protection of Victims”. This time, we had the opportunity to have as main speaker Dr.ª Rita Fonseca (supervisor of APF’s Specialized Multiagency Teams for combat of Human Trafficking).

The “PRO.VI project – Protecting Victims’ Rights” is co-financed by the European Commission (JUST/JACC/AG/2017/802047), involves five countries of EU (Portugal, Germany, Italy, Romania and Spain), and aims to improve the support services given to victims of crime and assure the protection of their rights. In Portugal, the project is coordinated by FEP-UCP lecturers and researchers Catarina Ribeiro and Mariana Barbosa. The national team also includes the lecturer and researcher Raquel Matos, and the FEP-UCP alumni Mafalda Santos, Andreia Moreira and Joana Carneiro.
