Participation at the “Psychedelic Science 2017” Conference, in Oakland, USA

Maria Carmo Carvalho, teacher and researcher of FEP/CEDH,  took part in the “Psychedelic Science 2017”, last April in Oakland - San Francisco, by sharing her experience managing the project Kosmicare - Boom Festival, a crisis intervention project related to psychoactive substances’ use in recreational environments.

She shared her views and experience regarding Portuguese Harm Reduction at the "Psychedelic Harm Reduction - Creating the Container" Panel, while presenting the lecture “Harm Reduction at Portugal’s Boom Festival: A post-prohibitionist model" at the Post-Conference Workshop "Psychedelic Harm Reduction - Supporting and Transforming Challenging Experiences", where she presented the most recent data about the project's activity.

 

Highlights: This Conference is organized by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies - MAPS.org and is the international reference for researchers in various fields connected by the joint interest in psychedelics.
